Logitech RS50 review
This is the Logitech RS50. Im telling you right now, this wheelbase is going to shake things up a lot. Logitech sent this for review, I also have an affiliate link with them if you want ot help the channel out. As always I say what I want, they have no control of the video.
The RS50 as the name suggest is a 8Nm wheelbase. Of course if when a RS80 comes out its going to be 15Nm. Logitech took the same naming convention logic of the GT2 class and applied it to simracing. Very nice. This new wheelbase doesnt come alone, its part of a bigger release that includes the wheelbase, the RS pedals, the rs table clamp and then the mclaren collection. The papaya ruled that three pieces of kit would come out, the Astro A50 headphones, the Playseat formula instinct mclaren racing edition and then the biggest waste of a collaboration ever, the LOGITECH G RS FORMULA WHEEL McLAREN RACING EDITION. Which a wheel that you slap on top of the Logitech RS HUB. Apparently this was modeled out of the 2024 or 2025 wheel ergonomics. Here I thought that the death of the mclaren fanatec 650GT3 wheel (rest in peace) would mean something interesting, exciting. I should have known better.
For this review, I got the Wheelbase and the clamp. I couldnt get access to a review unit of the pedals.
Anyways before going to the rest of the video, a big thank you to all members and subs. Without your help, doing these reviews wouldnt be possible. Im trying to get to 100K, we are not to far away, so if you can press like and subscribe I promise you itll be more useful than the usage of the mclaren collaboration. Thank you.
For the more serious part of the video, but not that serious. This wheelbase is going to shake things up. Its especially aimed at one target: the Fanatec DD PRO with some collateral falling in the simagic camp for the PC. You may say the same for thrustmaster.
Much like the Logitech PRO we have reviewed in the past, there are two versions of the RS50, the PC version and the playstation. It is possible to make any of these two compatible with the XBOX as well by getting a compatible wheel rim.
Lets start with the pricing, for the wheelbase alone, 8Nm the only version available, its 299 euros or 349 dollars. The playstation version is, hold on to your socks, 399 euro or 449 dollars. This undercuts the DD PRO by around 200euros. Massive.
The pedals are loadcell, and the two pedal version is 150 euro or 160 dollars. The clutch will be 40 euro, 50 dollars. When bought separately the clamp is around 30 euro.
Theres also a RS50 system bundle that comes with the RS hub, wheelbase and clamp with a price of 649 euro or 699 dollars for both playstation and XBOX. Add the 150 euro pedal set and youll be having a bundle that has everything ready for the PC and console including a load cell pedal around the same price as the DD PRO which doesnt have one. As a bundle, the RS50 undercuts the Fanatec by roughly 100 euros if you consider the loadcell and three pedals, while, in myopinion, providing more value. Logitech will also offer a configurator so you can pikachu your experience.
